A lot of water and driftwood has passed under the bridge since Happy Cow first appeared in the Collective Consciousness back in 2008. There soon followed the Happy Cow song and video, and before anyone had a chance to say 'hang on, I really can't be bothered to do this', the Happy Cow website had also been created.
The Marvellous Moos series is a collection of inspiring, moving or mind-stopping moos that I have had the pleasure of translating from the original Cowish since then. Of course, they all lose something in translation. The English language does not really come close to the profundity of the original Cowish, but we have done our best to get as close as possible to Happy Cow's original intended meaning. Together with the marvellous moos we also reproduce in these volumes some images that we thought would help add to the mood, or sometimes just ones that we found visually stunning. We sincerely hope that you enjoy these remarkable romps through the Wordiverse and the Piccyverse.

"I Love the Happy Cow website. I find myself returning to it again and again. It has everything I could want from, inspiration, advice, funny and heart wrenching stories, it points you in the direction of more resources should I want to explore something in greater depth, you can even send your mates a card if you fancy. I look forward to the weekly news letters not just to read Happy Cows inspirational words but to gain wisdom. It doesn't particularly matter if I agree with Happy Cow or not. She helps me formulate my own opinions and gain greater insight and understanding of how I live and love. Thanks so much Miss Moo!" - Leigh Fiorentino, Sheffield, UK
"We heart Happy Cow!! My two kids can't get enough and even my mom keeps asking me to re-send her links! I think it is very special and one of the coolest things I have found lately." - Jessica Harris, USA
"The main reason I agreed to write for Happy Cow was that I realised that my entire life story was summed up by her eyebrows." - Swifty Flame-Anderson, Scotland (sabbatical)
"Happy Cow is rubbish and Pete Hughes is a big fat idiot and the worst translator I have ever read." - Grumpy Goat, Misery Fields, The Farm
