Happy Cow Leaves the Farm (by Walter the Sofa Elf)
This is the tale of how a young Happy Cow left her roots and set out on her quest to cheer up the world. Written by our tiny singing hero Walter the Sofa Elf, it may well be turned into a song and video in the near future.
Once there was a happy cow who smiled the whole day through.
Nobody had taught her to be glum like me and you.
She didn't know that life was hard. Her mother never said
That she must spend her waking hours with problems in her head.
All the other animals could not believe their eyes.
"There must be something wrong with her!" They said with great surprise.
"Why is she not serious? Why is she full of life?
Everybody knows this world is one of woe and strife."
"She doesn't seem to care about the things that worry us.
'Why let it get you down?' She says and 'What's with all the fuss?'"
"What are we going to do with her? This really is not good.
There is no room for jollity in this grey neighbourhood."
So they gathered all together and went over to her barn
And they made it very clear she wasn't wanted on this farm.
They hassled and they bullied her. They were really very mean.
But she didn't seem annoyed at all. Her smile remained, serene.
But as they'd made their wishes clear and as she wished them well,
She decided to be on her way, to where she could not tell.
She wandered for a little while, not knowing what to do,
But now that happy cow is sharing happiness with you!
