Dear Happy Cow
I face a terrible dilemma. After five years of marriage, I have finally admitted to myself that getting married
to my wife was a mistake. I want to get a divorce. I have discussed the fact that I am not happy with my wife. She
says that if we start a family, then everything will be all right between us.
On top of that, I am under a lot of pressure from my mother. She is very fond of my wife and thinks of her as the
daughter she never had. She also would like us to give her some grandchildren. She is dead against us getting a divorce
and has said that if I go ahead with it, she won't speak to me again. I love my mother very much. I really don't know
what I should do.
