A few months ago I wrote about the Charter for Compassion. The idea was started by TED prize winner Karen Armstrong. In that article I explained why I am passionate about compassion, not because I am some marvellous altruist, but because I want a future for myself and my children in which love is in the ascendency, so that we may enjoy peace and happiness in years to come.
I am very pleased to announce that just a few days ago the Charter for Compassion was launched. If you visit their website you can find out more about the charter and what its organisers hope to achieve. You can also affirm the charter by adding your name to a growing list of people, including many household names.
