[The following idea storm has been kindly shared with us by Happy Cow's good friend Simon Drew. When he is not busy dancing with wolves, Simon can be found playing Scrabble with ferrets, designing kitchens with pumas, going to the cinema with gazelles and running the online groups English Stuff and H.A.T.S.T.A.N.D.(O.N.). It seems
the horizon is crowded with hills
and they have made new colours
for magicians eyes only
the sun has blessed the plains
and the contents of wooden tables are crying, singing, wailing
with this thosandenth of creation
in the eyes of a mosquito
slowly spire
awakening monolith
the dust of the road
washed off by tropical rains
come and go
come and go
calling calling out to no one
dusky sky
full of burnt blood
fulfilling every thirst
back to the first dream that came
deep in the dark
awake the trolls and giants in the hills
and dreams of angels in the waterfall
barely find the keys
drunk under a haze
saffron and cinnamon
and the long pull of dawn's embrace
a cry in the sun rise
a coming to the edge
rare light following a thousand imaginings
a spire which conspired to take it all
that fell like all before
let it rise
let it fall
like all before
this symbol of it all
this ember in the dark
this fluttering of wings
this catalyst to demise
a kiss behind the shutters
a stolen glance in the crowd
a forgotten promise in the market
a deep sleep tunneling into the sky
