The sunshine tried to tell the cloud
"You should be shiny too!
It's better if you shine like me
Than block out light like you."
The sunshine tried to tell the rain
"You don't get it at all!
Warm and dry's the way to be
Not cold and wet rainfall."
Both cloud and rain considered this
For a moment, maybe two
Then both said with acceptance
"I'll be me and you be you."
But sunshine didn't understand
Why they didn't want to change
To shiny shiny just like him
And considered them deranged.
And so he kept on doling out
His unneeded advice
"Shiny shiny's virtue and
Anything else is vice."
