I looked into Her eyes and was speechless since then.
All the wisdom traditions, the koans of Zen
Just went out of the window with one lupine stare.
All that there was to know was quite obvious there.
In those burning gold eyes
Which looked deep, deep inside,
Without judgement or cunning,
Without shame, without pride,
She showed me right there and then
Without a word
That all my philosophy
Was all so absurd,
As I cried, and I cried
She held out massive paw
And I fell to the ground as
Tears fell to the floor,
And I offered my throat
To Her powerful jaw
And as She always does,
The Wolf spared me once more.
