[The following harmonic symphony has been kindly shared with us by Happy Cow's good friend Simon Drew. When he is not busy righting wrongs, Simon can be found upping downs, nearing fars, outing ins and running the online groups English Stuff and H.A.T.S.T.A.N.D.(O.N.). You can also find his ramarkable visiblography in the Happy Cow Gallery. If you found yourself going with the flow, why not show your appreciation by clicking on the 'Like' button at the bottom below. Alternatively, you could organise a flash mob at London Kings Cross rail station in which 800 professionally trained dancers dressed as ordinary dullard commuters, and acting in an ordinary dullard commuter type way, suddenly all don Simon masks and break into an apparently impromptu performance of Shake a Tale Feather from The Blues Brothers. At the point at which Ray Charles usually says 'and what about the boogaloo', you could have the music doctored to say 'and what about the Simon Drew'. You could also arrange for the flash mob to be filmed and sent viral on social media, becoming so popular that it is eventually picked up by several news stations for their light-hearted bit at the end after all the grim stuff and boring stuff. The choice is yours. Enjoy!]
Deep in the flow, no right and no wrong
whether sitting in silence or singing a song
no longer a question of what's lie and what's true
the shroud falls away, no doer to do
The questions unanswered blown away by a breeze
and heavy and light all comes out with a sneeze
the dark phlegm of purpose held now in the tissue
droning debate cast aside, not an issue
As the sun rises, golden light fills the room
and the shadows once so real indiscriminately consume
leaves not a place safe for these illusions to be
not one to be free, not one to be me
The world keeps on spinning surrounded by stars
the light keeps on bouncing off broken glass shards
but deep in the dance, the whirling and worry
the centre of orbit sees no need to hurry
It lets it all happen, all come and go
unmoved and unnoticed yet watching the show
the centre of vision, the source of all sound
infinite times has watched it all go around.
