If You Let Me In (by Lieutenant Bartholomew The Amazing Mechanical Ostrich)
[The following poem was kindly shared with us by a Happy Cow visitor who has so far chosen to remain anonymous. For convenience, we have decided to use the name Lieutenant Bartholomew The Amazing Mechanical Ostrich instead of the more traditional A.Nonymous. We hope you all enjoy the feathery Lieutenant's lyrical jaunt.]
Sometimes when you know, you just let go.
Sometimes when you feel, but you just don't know.
I can't tell you how, but I can show you the way.
Times when you can't see, what you're wanting from me.
Times when you can't think, what you're needing from me.
I can't tell you how but I can show you the way.
Take what you want, I'll be here waiting for you.
Take what you need, I'll be here waiting for you.
Theres a long way to go, when you're not thinking,
A time that we don't know, when you're not seeing.
I can't tell you why, but I can show you the way.
The walls are closing around, so let the light shine in.
The lights are fading down, so let the love in you go.
I will show you how, I will show you the way,
If you let me in.
"The Self is near and the way to it is easy. All you need do is do nothing." Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
