Everyone was rushing, as if Time has an end,
Everybody driving very quickly round the bend.
Everything just must get done, get done ASAP,
Deadlines hook the hurry-fish out of the tranquil sea.
No time to smell the roses, no time to taste the tea,
No time to feel the wonder-love of child sitting on knee.
So many, many things to do, not one of them can slide.
Time will not let it lie, you know! Time is not on your side!
Supersonic donkeys chasing bat out of hell carrots.
"Get that homework in on time!" each of the teachers parrots,
To perpetuate the myth that life is owned and life is short
And that you will face calamity if you don't rush as you're taught.
Winding up the frequency 'til the music's just a whine,
"Bollocks to that speed limit! We've enough to pay the fine."
Raising that vibration 'til it shakes The Whole apart,
Shattering the mirror with the faster faster dart.
