Perpetually seeking a state that comes never.
Eternal go-getter: "Not like this, but better."
"Must reach it, must take it, can't rest 'til I make it."
"If ever, if ever," cries out the I fever,
"Then I can rest and the search will be over,"
"But 'til then press on, as this simply won't do."
"It won't do for me and it won't do for you."
"If ever, if ever," cries out the I fever,
Dissatisfaction that plagues it forever.
Perfectionist tendency cannot let go,
So the I fever cries again, "On with the show!"
