[The following gaze into the heavens was kindly shared with us by Happy Cow's good friend Simon Drew. When he is not busy falling like rain, Simon can be found lighting up the sky like a firework, blowing like a breeze, thundering like lightning and running the online groups English Stuff and International Monthly Hatstand Day. I looked into the sky tonight
and saw my face
the curious thing was
I disappeared
in the winds
high in the sky
I caught the scent of gold dust
and there was no speaking of forgetting
the golden dawn
is waiting in closet
while, time after time
penguins wander across the ice
if you want a voice from the wind
you can make one
or just listen to the whistling
shuttling between the peaks
a snail crawls upon the mossy rock
deep in the forest
and somewhere a bower bird calls
the call is light upon the breeze
frog sits in his pool and hollers
this night breeze never ceases
amongst the ferns a lizard scampers
each footfall is a supernova
each lighted cry the infusing of existence
there are no memories on the surface of the skin
drum beats in the dark
I saw you, it was never a question of looking
you never cease knocking on my door
and, from the cold
I never hear a whisper
can a whisper hear itself?
sun pouring onto the pasture
night is just the shadow of the day
you
you never hide from me
and you are nothing more
than a careless joke
told in the back rooms
of a lock in
hold them high
and scream back at the moon
"Nature doesn't bang any drums when it bursts forth into flower, nor play any dirges when the trees let go of their leaves in the fall. But when we approach her in the right spirit, she has many secrets to share. If you haven't heard nature whispering to you lately, now is a good time to give her the opportunity." Osho
