Through the gap that you've left
Causing us to weep,
Waves of misery
Rise and sweep.
Between open-mouthed
Moments of disbelief
Come uncontrollable
Tides of grief.
But below mind's noise
Is that Silent Voice
Reminding us all
Of our powerful choice.
While it threatens to take
All we have to give,
Death shouts loudly
And clearly: 'LIVE!'
With a wake up slap,
An impatient shove,
Death came here
To remind us: 'LOVE!'
